Stop slicing for good day 4
With Tyson Deskins from 419 Golf
A huge reason I see many golfers slice the golf ball is due to their upper body starting the downswing. This is classically called Over the Top. When a golfer has this move their lead shoulder immediately starts to rotate behind them in the downswing, this causes the hands and arms to kick out closer to the ball. This will ultimately force the club to take a leftward path, and almost every golfer in history will then learn to leave their face open to at least start the ball towards their target! The problem is the relationship between the path the club is taking and the open face, creates… you guessed it, a massive slice! In today’s video I will show you what to look for to see if this is what is happening in your swing and a few drills to start to make your body move better!
